Alexandra (Ally) Klerer

Social Work Practicum Student

Alexandra (Ally) Klerer is a second-year Master of Social Work student at Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work. She brings a warm, thoughtful presence to her work and values creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, and respected. Alexandra approaches each person with curiosity and compassion, recognizing that therapy is a deeply personal process. Her goal is to build a trusting and collaborative relationship where clients can explore challenges at their own pace.

Therapeutic Approach and Philosophy

Alexandra’s work is grounded in a client-centered approach that honors each individual’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals. She is attentive to emotional experiences, relational patterns, and the ways past experiences may influence present challenges. Alexandra supports clients in developing greater self-awareness and self-compassion while also identifying practical strategies to navigate life’s stressors. She values therapy as a space where deeper understanding can lead to lasting and meaningful growth.

Personal Journey

Alexandra was drawn to social work because of her deep commitment to helping others and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. She finds genuine fulfillment in witnessing individuals grow, gain confidence, and move through challenges in ways that allow them to truly thrive. Her ultimate goal is to support individuals throughout their healing journeys with care and intention.
