Eliana Gil (MSW, RSW)
Social Worker, Psychotherapist 

Eliana Gil is a registered clinical social worker in Ontario and in Israel with a Master's degree (MSW). Eliana has 10 years of experience helping teens  manage eating disorders, behavioral and emotional issues).

 

Eliana worked in a wide variety of settings, including mental health clinics, general hospitals, a boarding school and private practice and is training to become a licensed EFT couple’s therapist in Ontario. 

With over 20 years of experience in counselling, she specializes in helping adults and teenagers navigate challenges such as anxiety, trauma, depression, interpersonal relationships, Parental challenges especially for ADD/ADHD, self harm and Personality disorders

 

Eliana integrates various therapeutic approaches primarily CBT, EFT, solution focused therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy.

Eliana believes in providing an empathetic and nurturing environment, while also taking a practical, problem-solving approach to counseling. She finds it an honor to work closely with individuals through challenges they are going through, to find better coping skills, hope, understanding and strength.

Personal Journey

Eliana began her professional career as a Clinical Social Worker in Israel, supporting individuals and families in hospital,  a boarding school, and community mental health clinics. Over the years, she worked with children, adolescents, and adults facing a wide range of challenges, including trauma, chronic illness, eating disorders, and mental health concerns.

After moving to Canada, she continued her work in the mental health field and later joined York Region Psychological Services (YRPS), where she has been providing psychotherapy for over a decade. Her practice includes individual therapy for adults and adolescents, as well as couple’s counseling, with a focus on issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioural issues, relationships, parenting issues, and life transitions.

Eliana aims to bring warmth, compassion, and a collaborative approach to her therapy. Her goal is to create a safe space where clients can explore their emotions, develop new ways of coping, and build healthier, more fulfilling connections in their lives.
